Once is More Than Enough for Me

Okay what do I do from here? I still wasn't sure I was ready. So I continued throwing myself into Continuing Ed. and online training. I was casually helping a few clients look for properties. All commercial (which ironically is the direction I wanted to go even before getting my license) but this was not intentional by any means.

Well, one day I received a phone call from Meg. She was going to look at a friends house to prepare to list it for her. After that, she was going to show her friend a house. Meg warned me about this house and the house she would be showing as well. She wanted me to tag along for both. Well, as it turns out, Meg couldn't make either but my Mentor was still going to be there, so I figured it was still a great opportunity to learn first hand.

Remember I said Meg had warned me???? Um, upon arriving, I can see why she only gave me a warning and not the truth!!!! I would have never shown up and she knows that! To say that you should not enter that house unless covered from head to toe would be an understatement. Every time I had to open a door or turn on a light, I slightly puked. It was disgusting. All I wanted to do was go home and shower. I felt disgusting and dirty and literally cringed every move I made. Meg knew this too. Talk about introducing me the proper way. Thanks Meg!!!

We finally got out of there and went to the house they were interested in buying. Let me try and put it in perspective for you. It's like going from Annie's orphanage to Daddy Warbuck's Mansion. And to sit back and listen to them critique the place made me laugh (knowing what I just came from and what they live in). I just couldn't.

Meg started me off with a doozy. I guess she figured if I can handle a situation like that one, I can handle anything. But I have no desire to handle situations or people like that. I'll just send them her way!!! It was an eye opener for me in a lot of ways and I am thankful to her for that. She just better not do that to me again!
