After having passed the State and National portions of the test, I started getting lots of interest from many different Real Estate Companies. Not gonna lie, being wanted was a nice feeling. I spoke to several different Brokerages. Even 2 of the same Brokerages, just different locations. One Broker I have known for years and we are friends. I loved everything she and her Brokerage had to offer. In fact, she was everything I was looking for. That was by far, my ideal job. But its funny to me looking back and seeing that where I ended up was actually everything I was looking to stay away from when I began considering places. The biggest turnoff for me was its size. It is home to 100+ agents. The number one thing I wanted when selecting the right place for me was small. I wanted a family-feel. A place I would feel comfortable going in and knowing everyone. A place I could ask anyone anything and know I would get the assistance I needed. With 100+ agents, that wasn't going to happen. ...

 One thing I made sure to make VERY clear to Meg when accepting this position in May, was that although I had passed the my tests already, I was not quite ready to jump right in and start helping people sell and buy homes. Not just yet. I am not sure if my hesitation came from having not worked in so long, from just not feeling 113% ready, or from being afraid of failing. I honestly have no idea. I did know though that a small part of it came from the fact that I wanted to finish my post-licensing requirements and testing first. I had to finish that within 6 months and I know myself well enough to know if I did not do it immediately, I would never do it.  Okay what do I do from here? I still wasn't sure I was ready. So I continued throwing myself into Continuing Ed. and online training. I was casually helping a few clients look for properties. All commercial (which ironically is the direction I wanted to go even before getting my license) but this was not intentional by any means.  Well, one day I received a phone call from Meg. She was going to look at a friends house to prepare to list it for her. After that, she was going to show her friend a house.
